Lynch Syndrome Symposium – educating and empowering the SA medical community

Lynch Syndrome Symposium – educating and empowering the SA medical community

Most people with Lynch syndrome will have the experience at some point. The one where they visit a doctor or a health professional and say that have Lynch syndrome, only to receive a blank response “what is that?”

While some people have the pleasure of receiving exceptional care and overall management, it doesn’t make it okay that many others do not. This critical reason is why increasing awareness across the medical community of Lynch syndrome and the related surveillance requirements is so important and is a primary objective of Lynch Syndrome Australia.

Improving medical practitioners’ awareness of Lynch syndrome is also important to Kathy; an advocate of hope and facilitator of lasting change in our community. Kathy has created a much needed opportunity for health professionals to take part in a symposium in Adelaide with guest speakers discussing invaluable topics about Lynch syndrome, including best practice management and care.
